Air presses wet, heavy fingers. Piling shudders with hollow slaps. Cedar musk and impending rain. Drip, drip, patter. Clouds unclench. Gasps. Grimaces. Umbrella rainbows click clack against drizzling gray. Out on the churning inlet, a canoe sluices blustering waters. A shanty chimes. Rusty. Contented. At home in wind and weather.
